WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO A TOUCH OF GRACE

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

    • National Caregiver Certification Course (NCCC), a plus.

    • Certified Nurse Assistant Credential, a plus.

  • Experience: Six (6) months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred

  • Skills: Excellent communication, ability to multi-task, adaptability, ability to function efficiently in potentially stressful situations, teamwork and ability to collaborate with others, excellent time management, high-level ability to work independently, Excellent interpersonal skills, Advanced ability to maintain a clean and sterile environment

  • Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, timely, responsible

  • Vehicle: Valid Driver's license, Reliable transportation, Proof of insurance

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dedicated direct support professional to support and assist elderly residents and / or participants with. Your duties will include performing housekeeping tasks, assisting with meals, and support with personal hygiene needs.

To ensure success as a direct support professional, you should possess knowledge of best practices in providing care and experience in a similar role. Ultimately, an outstanding direct support professional will be someone who can be entrusted with the wellbeing of clients and one who demonstrates a caring approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Medication Administration

  • Providing immobile, ill, or frail residents with assistance, company, and comfort

  • Monitoring the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of clients and reporting changes to designated parties

    • Effectively taking shift data/notes on each resident

  • Performing personal hygiene care and housekeeping duties

  • Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking

  • Assisting with the use of incontinence products or providing bathroom visit support

  • Assisting from beds into chairs or wheelchairs, and back

  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe environment at all times

  • Lifting 20-30 lbs
